Not only is it our biggest ever event to date but we've booked it on World Gin Day... so it would be rude not to!

We will be showcasing over 50 different gins! On arrival you will be handed a brochure with information on all the gins you can try, a little about each company and a suggested garnish. You will need drinks tokens to buy the gin which will be available at the front desk, these are £4 per drink this includes tonic and a fresh garnish. Most people tend to buy a card of 5 for £20 and go from there but you can buy less if you like.

Throughout the evening there will be live entertainment, talks from gin industry experts, food available to buy and lot's of chit chat with other gin lovers alike. If your new to gin don't worry, our friendly staff will recommend some to get you going or tell you which our favourites are too/

Tickets are just £5 entry fee (+ £1 booking fee for paypal charges), then its just £4 per drink token which can be purchased on the day.

The show that had Whitley Bay dancing for days is making its rockin’ return to the PLAYHOUSE in June!

Let your hair down as we transport you back to the bustling music of the 50’s and 60’s with The Twist!

Set in an American Diner where “Big” Tony Tremendo, the diner owner, delivers a show packed with authentic vocals and comedy backed by a critically acclaimed live band, The Twisters. Relive the fabulous songs of a great Rock ‘n’ Roll era wrapped up in a “Happy Days” family style feel.

Think Elvis’s hip shaking, Dusty’s sensual sound and Buddy’s Rock ‘n’ Roll moves, The Twist will have you up on your feet and dancing the night away.
Starring and created by Strictly Come Dancing lead vocalist Chris Madin and West End sweetheart Suzi Jary, do not miss this opportunity to travel back in time with the PLAYHOUSE.

WARNING: May result in impromptu dancing....

This sensational production features many of Formby's classic hits brilliantly performed LIVE by Wardrop on the Ukulele, including: 'Blackpool Rock', 'Leaning On A Lamp-Post', 'When I'm Cleaning Windows', 'TT Races' and many more!

The Cluny is proud to announce its third annual Beer & Cider Festival, which takes place in Cluny 2 on the 14th, 15th and 16th March.

Featuring beers and ciders from twenty different breweries – a full list of which is attached – it promises to be an unforgettable weekend.

And as it’s at The Cluny - Newcastle’s best music venue – there are obviously a host of great bands and solo artists on hand to keep you entertained. Saturday sees sets from Mick Rolfe (playing acoustically) and Strange Bruise, the area’s premier Cream tribute band. On Sunday both Trev Gibb and Sundown Steven Brown will be playing solo sets, and Newcastle’s very own delta-blues maestros Monkey Junk will also be playing.

If that wasn’t enough, there will also be mild, hot and veggie chilli available throughout to keep you going.

It all starts at 5pm on Friday 14th March with the main event running all day on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th. Saturday runs 12pm till midnight, and Sunday 12pm till 10.30pm, and tickets are a mere £3 for the whole weekend, including festival glass and programme.

For more information please contact Cluny manager Julian Ive on 0191 230 4474 or cluny@theheadofsteam.co.uk
