Let's Talk About Sex: promoting sexual health with adults

This course will develop participants’ knowledge and confidence to discuss sexual health and relationships issues with adults that they work with, and to promote better sexual health in their work role.

By the end of the course, participants will have:
• Explored early messages received in childhood around bodies, puberty, sex and relationships and the impact of these messages
• Developed in confidence in discussing sexual health issues with their client group and colleagues
• Increased their knowledge of key facts and figures about sexual health issues, particularly as they relate to adults and older adults
• Learned about some of the services and resources available to support workers
• Developed their knowledge and understanding of the issues and changes that can occur in relationships, bodies and sex lives as people age, including the menopause and erectile dysfunction
• Explored their own and others’ attitudes towards a range of sexual health and sexuality topics
