Step through the magic mirror into the amazing world of, Anthony Browne, in his first UK exhibition. Immerse yourself in Anthony’s picture book world, and come face to face with life size characters of his work where you can be a part of the story. View original illustrations from over 30 of his picture book titles including Gorilla, Into the Forest, Zoo, Little Beauty and Willy the Champ.

Paul Noble's work represented the gallery at last year’s Venice Biennale which was an initiative led by The National Glass Centre at the University of Sunderland, which brought together the Laing Art Gallery, Locus+ and mima, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, with Caterina Tognon Arte Contemporanea in Venice to present Interloqui, an exhibition coinciding with the 54th Venice Biennale of Art. A selection of his ceramics are also on display.

Toddlers are especially welcome to BALTIC on Tuesdays. Join in the fun, as a BALTIC artist leads a practical session using a variety of materials, colours, shapes and textures.

Don’t wear your Sunday best as we can’t guarantee you won’t get a bit messy. On arrival tickets can be bought from the session leader before the fun begins. Activities are aimed at children aged 0-4 years old, but the session is open to all under 4 year olds. Max 15 places. Children must be accompanied by an adult, no pre-booking required.
