Whitley Bay will see the annual visit from Northumbrian stallholders offering a wide range of traditional favourites to complement the celebration of the Feast of St Nicholas. There will also be a lantern parade, carol singing and entertainment.
There will be a lamplit procession from children from local first schools leaving Marine Park First School at 4.15pm on Friday going along Park View to St Paul's Church.
Throughout the weekend there will be entertainment, carol singing and a fair at St Paul's Church.

SunnyCon 5 is returning in 2016 after 4 years in Sunderland the convention has moved up in the world to St James Park stadium.
SunnyCon is the largest anime and Japanese culture convention outside of London. Every year it attracts thousands of people who attend to meet guests, attend panels and talks from experts and cosplay.
So far guests announced are international cosplay stars Twinfools and Nova Vandorwolf, anthropomorphic expert and head of the worlds largest furry convention Uncle Kage, YouTube abridging sensations Team Four Star will be making their first ever UK appearence and former Power Ranger Johnny Yong Bosch will also be attending to give talks on his career in anime voice acting and also his live action roles.

Every year thousands of people, with or without a direct connection to the Hospice, remember a loved one by dedicating a light on our Light up a Life Remembrance Tree and making a donation to St Oswald's. These lights will be unveiled at our Light up a Life services in December.
