We are excited to announce that Breakin’ Convention festival will be returning to the PLAYHOUSE in 2016 after their first immense visit in 2014.

Breakin' Convention is Sadler's Wells' ground breaking festival of hip hop dance theatre featuring a line-up of jaw-dropping performances from around the world and around the corner.

Hosted and curated by UK hip hop theatre legend Jonzi D, brings some of the world's best poppers, lockers, b-boys and b-girls together to dance alongside local crews.

Breakin' Convention is more than just a show - it's an experience! DJs, dancers, live aerosol art, MCs and freestyle sessions take over the building in the ultimate celebration of hip hop culture.

International artists this year include, The Ruggeds hailing from the Netherlands, these World bboy champions will perform a high octane show.  Joining the line up is French native Antoinette Gomis, with her piece, a poetically emotive solo performed to Nina Simone's 'Images'.  Iron Skulls from Spain complete the international acts, where their bboying merges with contemporary for this apocalyptic showpiece.

Local acts will be announced soon, after auditions later this year.

Tickets costing £12, £8 conc. are on sale now during the early bird period, tickets are £14, £10 conc after 31st January 2016.
