Description:

You are invited to a series of public talks outlining some of the major medical research initiatives we are fortunate to have in the North East.

The talks will cover the '100,000 Genomes Project', which will sequence 100,000 genomes from around 70,000 people.

Speakers from the Newcastle Diagnostic Evidence Cooperative will also highlight the advances in diagnostic devices which are important in helping to improve the way that many diseases are diagnosed. New Pathology testing is also revolutionising the way we diagnose and treat disease, with patients receiving treatment tailored to their particular condition.

The event is free, however, registration is essential as places are limited. Register at http://tinyurl.com/diagnosismatters For further information email VOICENorth@ncl.ac.uk or call 0191 208 1288
